The Irritable Bao

Back at The Irritable Bao to try their Yúxiāng Ròusī Bao, Chinese Street Brussels, and Chinese Hanging Furnace Chicken Skewers. The Yúxiāng Ròusī Bao is their version of Sichuan-style pork with veggies and garlic sauce inside. The ratio of ingredients inside was perfect. I was able to get the bun, pork, and veggies in each and every bite. The salty, sweet, garlic flavor rang throughout my mouth as the delicious sauce coated everything as a baseline flavor thought the bao. The pork was juicy and hot, and the carrots were steamy, yet crunchy, which added more texture to each bite. The street brussels are hot and soft and covered in a sticky soy sauce with crushed peanuts. Each bite was loaded with sweet and salty flavors, and soft and crunchy textures. The Chinese hanging finance chicken skewers had a dry, crisp skin on them with an interesting flavor. The flavor was salty and smokey, and the perfectly cooked chicken added sweet juices throughout. The Chinese street brussels and the Yúxiāng Ròusī Bao were definitely my favorite parts of this meal with the Chinese hanging furnace chicken skewers close behind. I have had a phenomenal experience every time I visit The Irritable Bao and I highly recommend it if you are in the local area. With menus changing daily be sure to follow them on instagram @dumpslikeatruck_irritablebao to stay up to date. Do not fear the line, it moves fast, and is well worth the wait. I give it a Fatty Score of 8.1
