Teriyaki Chicken Kebabs

Updated: Jul 16, 2020

These teriyaki chicken kebabs are really delicious and fun, especially when you have friends over. Just make a marinade beforehand consisting of really whatever you want. I used teriyaki marinade, soy sauce, orange juice, red pepper flakes, garlic, and a chili sauce. Similar to Panko mixtures, you can really get creative with marinades and use whatever you have in your pantry. The longer you are able to marinate your chicken the stronger the flavor will be. I added red and green bell peppers along with onions to the kebabs to give the dish some more colors, textures, and flavors. Make sure to cut your chicken, vegetables, and peppers all the same size for even contact when cooking, or else you will have large burned vegetables and small raw pieces of chicken. Gather your group of friends to help assemble the kebabs, and try to keep the order consistent to portion out all of your ingredients. I cooked the kebabs on a cast iron skillet to give the kebabs grill lines, but also because I do not have a grill. I would definitely recommend using a grill if you have access to one in order to add a level of smokey flavor. Cook for a couple minutes, rotating when necessary until the chicken is cooked through. Set your kebabs on a plate or board and enjoy. Its something different yet classic, and super fun and easy to make.
