Tacorita: California, Surf 'n Turf, Roasted Street Corn:


I stopped back by Tacorita the other day to try out some more of their delicious tacos. This time, I ordered the California taco on a lettuce wrap, the surf n turf taco, and another cob of roasted street corn. The California comes with steak, diced potatoes, guacamole, and traditional pico de gallo, and the surf n turf is loaded up with beautiful bits of steak, shrimp, chimichurri aioli, roasted bell peppers, grilled onions, and traditional pico de gallo. The California taco had tons of flavors and textures from the tender, savory steak to the smooth and vibrant guacamole, and the lettuce wrap it was on was fresh and crunchy, easily holding its shape. Each bite had the perfect ratio of meat, potato, and guacamole to give me consistent flavors. The Surf and turf taco was on a warm and soft flour tortilla and had even amounts of steak and shrimp. The aioli was creamy and tangy and really brought the flavors of the taco together. Both the steak and the shrimp were cooked perfectly and resulted in a very full taco. The fire roasted street corn was just as good as the last time with their creamy aioli and salty cotija cheese covering a beautifully charred cob of corn. Tacorita has constantly delicious food so next time you find yourself in downtown Auburn be sure to stop by for a bite.
