I decided to head back to the Sword and Skillet food truck to try their Summer Salad. This bright, warm salad comes with blackened chicken, blue cheese, candied pecans and strawberries. It came with a small cup of honey balsamic dressing on the side to keep your salad from getting soggy. The big, leafy greens where sturdy and crunchy, and held on to beads of dressing to fill your mouth with sweet and tangy flavors. The chicken had a nice char flavor to it, and was hot and juicy. The strawberries were vibrant bombs of sugary, fruity flavor that gave great color and texture to the salad. Every bite of this salad was delicious; however, my favorite bites were the last few. Each of those bites had bits of greens and candied pecans covered in the sweet balsamic dressing, and it filled your mouth with a sweet, nutty, and sour flavors. This salad is really delicious and definitely worth a try. It is a fairly large salad and it comes with a good bit of chicken that will leave you feeling full and satisfied.
